Harry Potter GO!

The developer of 2016’s biggest mobile game hit Pokemon GO, Niantic, has just confirmed earlier today that they are creating a Harry Potter game based on the style of their Mobile titles, Pokemon GO and Ingress. Utilizing the Augmented Reality concept, Niantic is excited to announce that they have teamed up with Warner Bros to help players “experience J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World” through their mobile devices.

Niantic’s Pokemon GO uses Augmented Reality technology to make it feel like Pokemon exists in real-life through the use of their mobile smartphones.

Titled Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, Niantic’s next AR project will have players learn spells and fight magical beasts and as well as team up to take down powerful enemies. There is no release timeline for the game just yet, although we are expecting for the game to be fully released at around 2019 given that Niantic already has a tried-and-tested platform for Mobile AR.
