After much rumors, the gaming brand has officially confirmed that they are, in fact, creating a smartphone for gamers.
Razer has been widely known as one of the most popular brands when it comes to video games with their variety of gaming-optimized and oriented products that range from peripherals to notebooks. While they have been most lately been known to tinker around expanding the gaming surface area for notebooks with Project Valerie, Razer’s newest project involves an entirely new gaming platform as they officially unveil the Razer Phone.
Almost the same size as your 6″ phablet, the Razer Phone sports a 5.7″ inch display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile processor with 8GB of RAM and a mind-boggling 120hz screen variable refresh rate, which is perhaps is its biggest advantage when compared to other gaming-optimized smartphones. 120hz refresh rate means that the Razer Phone is capable of running gaming and multimedia visuals of up to 120 FPS, almost the same as the many recent generation gaming displays. The display is also meant to cater towards high resolution visuals with a digital resolution meter cranked up to 1440 x 2560.
Together with its powerful processor, generous amounts of RAM, and the improved display, the Razer Phone also comes with a 64GB internal storage capacity, which you can expand for up to 2TB!) 12 MP dual rear cameras, stereo speakers with dual amplifiers and 4000 mAh of battery life. The device will also be powered by Android and will come loaded with the Android Nougat out of the box.
The Razer Phone is now available for pre-order over at RazerZone.com and is priced at USD 699 (~PHP 36,000).
