The world’s most popular Esports title is making an appearance at the 18th Asian Games!
The highly popular PC game title, League of Legends, will be joining other games in the first major mix of Sports and Esports in the 18th Asian Games. Happening this August 2018, League of Legends will be joined by other Esports titles as part of Demonstration Events for the sports spectacle.
This year’s Asian Games prove to be a very exciting time for Esports as its success would potentially mean that Esports will soon be part of the Olympics, a dream event for many fans. Together with League of Legends, other esports titles will also be part of the Asian Games. From PC to Console to Mobile, the Esports games at the Asian Games will be divided into Team and Single player events. The other games that are part of the Asian Games’ demonstration events include Arena of Valor, Pro Evolution Soccer 2018, StarCraft II, Hearthstone, and Clash Royale.
The 18th Asian Games will be held in Jakarta Indonesia this coming August 18 to September 1, 2018, with the qualifying events for Esports games to start on June 10, 2018. A total of 6 regions will be able to send in their teams to compete, with 8 teams per Esports title.
