PUBG Corp. bankrolls a major PUBG Esports event, the PUBG Global Invitational.
One of the biggest names to hit the video game market, PLAYERUNKOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS, is about to go bigger with the PUBG Corp. Bluehole’s new subsidiary publisher for PUBG is about to bankroll a multi-million-dollar Esports event.
Titled the PUBG Global Invitational, the event will the first Esports event officially backed by Bluehole and the PUBG Corp. and will feature USD 2 Million in total prizes. Designed to feature pro-PUBG players from all over the world, the Esports event will hold qualifiers for 10 different gaming regions and will have a total of 20 seeded teams that will compete in the global final.
While being the first to be bankrolled by the PUBG Corp. the PUBG Global Invitational isn’t the first Esports event for PUBG with ESL already hosting numerous Invitational and competitive events like the NA and EU PUBG Online Showdown series.
The PUBG Global Invitational will have its LAN finals this coming July 2018, in Berlin, Germany.
