2018 continues to be a good year for video games, check out which games you should add to your collection and play during the Summer break!

The first quarter of 2018 was definitely a great time for video games with many big titles coming out for different platforms. Monster Hunter World, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Ni No Kuni II, Far Cry 5 and even the remastered version of Shadow of the Colossus came out almost one after the other. But the gaming hype is not going to stop anytime soon as April also looks to be another good month for video games with some of the most anticipated titles coming out this month!

Release Date: April 10, 2018
Platforms: PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One

God of War meets Attack on Titan, that’s one way to describe Iron Galaxy’s newest title, Extinction. Combining hack and slash elements, jumping and grapple hooking your way through buildings and, of course, taking down giant enemies, Extinction lets you become the hero of humanity against the ogre menace.

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life
Release Date: April 17, 2018 (Worldwide)
Platforms: PlayStation 4

Yakuza games have gone beyond just a niche title into a full-blown phenomenon with Yakuza 0 becoming one of 2017’s sleeper hits. Described as a “maddened open world” title, Yakuza 6 lets you play as Kazuma Kiryu once again as he seeks for his own brand of justice in the gang-ridden streets of Kamurocho all while completing ridiculous tasks and, well, doing some karaoke.

God of War
Release Date: April 20, 2018
Platform: PlayStation 4

The adventures of the god slayer Kratos continues in the frozen lands of the north together with his apparent son in this next installment to the God of War series. First unveiled back in E3 2016, God of War easily became one of this year’s most anticipated video game title with a new combat system and more deeper exploration of the relationship between Kratos and his son.

Nintendo Labo
Release Date: April 20, 2018
Platform: Nintendo Switch

Okay, now this one isn’t technically a video game but more on Nintendo’s take on home entertainment. The Nintendo Labo is an interactive kit from Nintendo which lets you unleash your creativity using cardboard boxes and the Nintendo Switch (yes, cardboard boxes). It comes with different kit varieties, each which you can assemble and use together with the Switch to simulate fishing, play the piano or even become a pseudo exosuit, you know, whichever suits your tastes. It looks fun as hell though!

Of course these aren’t the only games releasing this month, there’s also Bombslinger, which will be coming out of Early Access on April 11,  Battletech, which will be released on April 24, and Super Robot Wars X which is coming out this coming April 26, plus many, many more!

Which video game coming out this month are you really looking forward to?
